Explore four gardens in Clinton Corners, Millbrook, and Stanfordville, open for self-guided tours, a plant sale, storytelling, and a scavenger hunt to benefit the Garden Conservancy and Innisfree Garden. Highlights include rigid geometry contrasting with organic sweeps of plants, acres of dahlias on a flower farm, impressive trees such as a 350-year old sycamore and unusual Dawn redwoods, pokeweeds trained into standard forms, many native cultivars, garden sculpture, Asian-inspired garden vignettes, and water features. At Innisfree Garden, Family Time events will take place at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m.: Storytelling and an Imaginative Garden Scavenger Hunt with Lorraine Hartin-Gelardi; plant sale with Mark Oppenheimer’s Inner Garden from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Begin at the Petersen Garden in Stanfordville, or see website for additional locations; hours vary.
